Roll of Honour

Peter served with 9 Indep Para Sqn in the  early 60s and as a member of 3 Troop completed a 12 month tour in Bahrain.

He later went on to be a very successful Sports reporter for the Aldershot News and later for the Camberley News. His peers described him as dedicated and honest reporter; fiercely proud of the sports pages he produced. A flamboyant writer, his no-punches­pulled coverage led to frequent run-ins with managers and club officials, and at one time was banned from the press box at Aldershot.

He liked nothing better than relaxing with a decent beer and would talk to anyone he met while doing so.
