Roll of Honour

Eric served in North Africa and Italy and with 9 Field Company at Arnhem when he landed by glider in Oosterbeek. He was wounded in the thigh on the night of the evacuation while struggling to reach the river he was assisted by two glider pilots who saw him safely across. He was hospitalised for several months following this incident.

Eric donated all of his military memorabilia to the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington.

His friends and colleagues will sadly miss him.
